EU-UNPAD ICRL Director Visit to Padjadjaran University

​Ehime University – Padjadjaran University ICRL (EU-UNPAD ICRL) Director, Dr. Kozo Watanabe, visited Padjadjaran University Indonesia on June 24th to 27th in Bandung city. This visit was purposed to coordinate with UNPAD ICRL about the current research and discuss with Padjadjaran University officials about future collaboration. On the June 24th, Dr. Kozo had sharing session with Dean of Padjadjaran University Graduate School, Prof. Dr. med. Setiawan, discussing on current agreement and future possibilities of expanding ICRL. 

​During the breaks after the discussion, Dr. Kozo had the chance to see the laboratories and facilities of Padjadjaran University Graduate School building.

​In the afternoon, Dr. Kozo gave a seminar titled “Eco-Epidemiology of Dengue Mosquitoes from Modeling and Genetic Approach” as guest lecture to Graduate and Undergraduate Medical Student of Padjadjaran University.

​On the second day, June 25th , Dr. Kozo along with Dr. Lia Faridah and Staff M.A. Thufail visited Cimahi Dengue sampling site and Primary Health Cares. This visit was purposed to evaluate the progress of Dengue Detection in Cimahi city that was conducted and assisted by Primary Health Cares and the citizens. With this visit, ICRL is determined to consistently support Primary Health Cares in Cimahi to detect and combat dengue epidemic and preventing an outbreak. 

​After on-site visit to Cimahi, Dr. Kozo had lab tour of UNPAD ICRL in PAMITRAN building. As some of the lab equipment have yet to available to use, UNPAD ICRL collaborate with the team of Health, Safety, and Environment Team (HSE) Laboratory to work in Bandung. On this visit, Dr. Kozo got to acquaintance with the members of HSE Teams.

Third day of the visit on June 26th , Dr. Kozo had a discussion with the Director of Padjadjaran University Research and Community Service Division, Prof. Rizky Abdulah, to talk about ICRL agreements and current research in Cimahi.
